GDPR Compliance and Data Protection

Voucherly is committed to adhering to the GDPR, the European Union regulation on protecting and transferring personal data and privacy within the EU and European Economic Area.

We take all necessary measures to ensure data protection, including:

  • Storing data in certified data centers located within the EU, ensuring all data remains in compliance with regional regulations.
  • Encrypting and anonymizing stored data as much as possible using advanced, dedicated software.
  • Implementing strict policies and guidelines, including internal procedures and operational standards.
  • Appointing a Data Protection Officer (DPO), registered with the relevant Data Protection Authority.

Voucherly and GDPR

As a platform facilitating the acceptance of online payments via vouchers, Voucherly acts as a data controller. We are responsible for storing data securely and ensuring its protection. Voucherly is not a processor or sub-processor of data.

For more information, refer to the Voucherly – DPA, which includes provisions aligned with standard data processing agreements.

Customer Data

Voucherly strictly uses customer data solely for processing payments. We do not use customer data for any other commercial purposes. If there is a need to use the data for a different purpose, we explicitly request customer consent.

Access to customer data is highly restricted. Only a limited number of certified Voucherly staff have access to customer data, and strictly on a need-to-know basis.

Data Destruction

In compliance with relevant regulations, Voucherly automatically destroys data when it reaches its expiration period.

Additionally, customers can request the deletion of their data, in line with the principle of Privacy by Design.

To request data deletion, email the Data Protection Officer at dpo@voucherly.it.
