Voucherly and meal vouchers

Voucherly is the technical tool a merchant uses to accept meal vouchers on their ecommerce. The agreement with each issuer remains a direct relationship between the merchant and that issuer.

What Voucherly does​

  • It connects the merchant's ecommerce to the systems of the issuers the merchant has an agreement with.
  • It sends the meal voucher payment request and returns the outcome to the ecommerce.
  • It lets the customer pay any amount not covered by the vouchers with a card, PayPal or the other active methods.
  • It gives the merchant access to the Dashboard, with the reporting of their payments.
  • It provides the merchant with customer care tools to manage their customers' payments.
  • It works as a service chosen by the merchant, like the other tools of their ecommerce.

What Voucherly does not do​

  • It does not sign or manage the agreements with the issuers: they are a direct relationship of the merchant.
  • It does not negotiate fees or economic terms with the issuers.
  • It does not collect, hold or pass on the value of the vouchers: the reimbursement goes from the issuer to the merchant.
  • It does not act on behalf of the issuers and does not distribute their services.

Relationship with the issuers​

Voucherly has formalised a technical collaboration with some issuers. It is not a requirement to connect to their systems: it comes from a relationship of trust, and it does not cover the merchant's agreement or its economic terms.

With some issuers Voucherly also has preferential channels, such as direct contacts to write to, that help speed up the activation of an agreement. At the merchant's request, Voucherly can support them through this step while staying outside the agreement.
